My fingers have been extra busy at the piano lately, a different kind of keyboard other than the one I'm using now. I've been practicing for the playing I'm doing this weekend, playing with students during their lessons, making a tape for a tenor in the church choir to help him learn his part to a song, learning a song my Mom and I will sing in church in November and helping my girls with their practicing. Two days until the wedding and the recital I'm playing for. When the Bride's mother asked me to help arriange the musicians for the wedding, she said she wanted to pay me for doing so and to just give me a fee this weekend. I really don't know what to tell her. I'm happy to do it for free, but she won't take that for an answer-I've tried. I'm only playing one song in the wedding, as an accompanist for the one my mom is singing. What should I do?
I was really in the mood to cook yesterday. The change in weather does that to me. Right after I dropped the girls off at school, I went to the grocery store. Between my coupons and the store savings, I saved 43.00 in that one trip! I came home and made a chicken casserole for last night's dinner with my parents before choir practice, a cake and chili for dinner tonight with the family we attend Bible Study with. I'm going to heat it up in the crock pot shortly.
What are your favorite things to cook in the Fall and Winter? Please share ideas and recipes if you can.....I'll post some of my favorite recipes soon.
